EMS Services at Regional West Garden County

Ambulance services are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Our ambulance service has two well-equipped ambulances to serve Garden County. The ambulance service is operated by Regional West Health Services.

Regional West Garden County EMS Services consist of advanced level service (ALS) equipped to meet the needs of the patients entrusted to our care, our paramedics are highly trained individuals that provide advanced medical care to the patients. Also on our team are certified community volunteers who include Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) and drivers which assist the paramedic with direct patient care. All the EMS staff complete extensive continuing education courses to keep current on the latest lifesaving procedures. Our volunteers play an active role in our community and our services, including fundraisers for additional equipment. Recently Mission Lifeline awarded our EMS service new lifesaving equipment including an advanced defibrillator with capabilities to transmit information to the emergency room doctor and a device that provides compressions during CPR so the paramedic can provide additional cares to the patient.

Additional regional ambulance services are available to provide transfer services for patients with ground transport and 3 regional helicopter services.

Many of the trauma victims needing additional services are transferred to Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff and most cardiac patients needing additional services are transferred to Great Plains Health in North Platte. Other transfer facilities are available in central Nebraska and the front range of Colorado.
