Regional West Garden County Laboratory department offers a comprehensive menu of clinical laboratory testing, including round-the-clock coverage, seven days a week and a professional, caring staff. Our lab provides both inpatient and outpatient laboratory testing. We are committed to serving our patients in the most efficient, caring manner possible.

Testing 

Regional West Garden County Laboratory provides outpatient and inpatient laboratory services, emergency services, “Thoughtful Tuesdays”, therapeutic phlebotomy, DOT and Non-DOT collections. We provide a wide range of hematology, coagulation, urinalysis and chemistry testing, right here in our laboratory.

Frequently Asked Questions

My physician has instructed me to fast for my laboratory blood work.  How long should I fast?

Most laboratory test which requires a fast of at least 8-10 hours prior to drawing of the test.

Which laboratory test requires a fasting specimen?

Fasting Blood Sugar, Lipid Profile (cholesterol, triglyceride, HDL), Thyroid Profile (fasting is preferred not required).

My provider has ordered a laboratory test on me.  Do I come directly to the Lab upon arrival at the hospital?

No, you must first register in admissions prior to coming to the Lab. Your provider will fax a hard copy.  They may also send an order with you, which you must bring with you in order to have your testing completed.   We will need a copy of your driver’s license and insurance card and you will be asked to sign a consent at that time.

Can the laboratory technician give me the results of my testing?  

No, the provider or one of their staff members will inform you of your results.  You may also request a copy from the Health Information Department or your results will be listed on the patient portal if you are a registered user.
